Chicago Yoga Classes

Yoga means union with the higher self. The Sanskrit word yoga is derived from the root yuj, which means to yoke. The yoga student seeks to yoke his or her individual soul with higher consciousness. The aim of yoga is to change our minds; the practice will challenge you to concentrate more clearly and to expand concentration to include awareness of breath and a complete state of being. Physically yoga fosters strength, stamina, good posture and alignment, and increased balance and flexibility. Yoga will help you experience freedom from preconceptions about yourself allowing for the possibilities of growth, acceptance and change.
